EGYPT, Alexandria. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Potin Tetradrachm (23mm, 12.41 g, 12h). Dated RY 6 (AD 242/3). Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Athena Nikephorus standing left, holding shield set on ground; L ς (date) to left. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 4707; K&G 72.125; Emmett 3397.6 (R4). Good VF, dark gray-brown surfaces, flan flaw on Gordian's forehead. Rare.
